Installing cellular shades or honeycomb shades is a great way to add color and light control to a space. These brackets are used to keep the bottom of the blind from swaying when mounted on doors or exposed to the wind. The holddown pin must be inserted into the center of each side of the bottomrail. After the brackets are secured you will then hook the window blind head rail into the bracket rotate it and click it into place.

Attach the hold down brackets at the bottom of the window with the included screws as shown for your installation type. Remove the two brackets from the blinds. Remember for cell shades installed on doors use optional hold down brackets to secure bottom rail. Use a mallet or hammer the pin will burr in.

Once installed you can keep the bottom rail hooked on the brackets so the blinds won t flap around when the window is open on a breezy day. Wind can also wreak havoc on your screen door.

With the hold down brackets attached to the bottom rail lower the blinds to the hold down bracket mounting surface and mark the bracket locations. Holding each bracket on the pencil lines place a dot inside the bracket holes. Hold the blinds up to the window top where you want them to hang.
